Important Information For You

New Patients

We are always pleased to welcome new patients. During the first visit Dr. Neill will examine the patient and provide an overview to answer the following questions:

  • Is there a need for orthodontic treatment?
  • Is treatment needed now, or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption, or other factors have occurred?
  • What treatment procedures can be used to correct the problem?
  • Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
  • How long will treatment take?
  • How much will it cost?
  • What are my payment options?

While we can often answer the above questions about treatment during the initial examination, we need to collect more detailed information about the patient’s teeth and jaw structure prior to beginning treatment. This will be done during the diagnostic records appointment. Depending on time, this appointment may be combined with your initial visit or can be scheduled separately. The records include x-rays, photos of the teeth and face, and impressions for study models. All of these are necessary for developing an appropriate treatment plan. We feel it is important to analyze each patient’s specific needs, because in-depth planning leads to better results and higher patient satisfaction.
